Hook-Ups is a simple yet effective quick exercise to do when you feel like your nervous system needs calming and you need help coming back to your centre.

When the fight/flight response is activated under stress, the bodyu2019s attention goes to the arms and legs in preparation for running away from a perceived threat. This shift in attention pulls our focus away from our ability to think clearly, problem solve, and to make decisions. By doing this simple exercise, you bring the attention of the body away from the extremities back into the core and you calm down the fight/flight response and your nervous system, and helping you to refocus.
